If you have a clear bowl, the bowl is made of Copolyester. If your bowl is clear but with a gray tint, it is made of a material called Polyphenylsufone (PPSU). The inside steam basket is made from transparent Polypropylene. All of these components are BPA-free, lead-free ad phthalate-free.
